Theory
Adapted Plan Actions, Permissions and Flow
While things can vary slightly depending on how the roles are configured on each instance the general principles are:
| Position / Role | Possible Actions and Permissions |
|---|---|
| Rep/MSL | View Master Plan – filtered, Change Capacity, Add/Remove Customers from Target, Change Frequencies, Submit Plan, Reopen Plan |
| Admin | All the Rep’s actions |
| Direct Manager | View Master Plan - filtered, View a Rep’s Plan, Approve/Reject a Rep’s Plan, View Consolidated Plan |
| All other Positions | View the Master Plan and Adapted Plan at their level and any position below them |
| Plan Owner (has master plan write and reopen permissions) | Finalise Team (Adapted) Plan, Reopen Team (Adaped) Plan |

NOTE that a manager can only approve / reject the plan of the Reps that report to them directly, i.e. Manager1 has 2 direct reports, Rep1 and Manager 2, and Manager2 has another 2 direct reports Rep2 and Rep 3. Manager1 can only approve/reject the plan of Rep 1 and NOT Rep2 and Rep3

IMPORTANT on understanding permissions
If we have a global position -i.e. BUD - or a manager position we can filter the Plan at any of the position below ours, i.e. we select a Rep position to view the plan at that level. However this DOES NOT mean that we will have the permissions of a Rep, i.e. we can see the Rep plan but we cannot edit it, because we are not on a Rep position
On the other hand if we are assigned to both a BUD position and a Rep position, when selecting the Rep position we will have the permission to edit the Plan and do all the other actions of a Rep.

Adapted Plan Status
The Rep Position Perspective
If we look at the Adapted Plan from a Rep position in the Status screen we will see the Plan Status of that position, which can be:
