A Content Asset represents a physical or digital implementation of the content to be communicated to the customers. It includes Messages, Supporting arguments and any other text and visuals supporting the communication.
Examples of Content Assets include: Email Templates, Web Pages, Print Posters, eDetails, etc
One or more Content Assets are required to support the communication for each touchpoint.
In the Content Assets step of the Product Plan we can manage the content assets required for the entire plan:
- We can view the list of the content assets assigned to this plan
- We can add a content asset to the plan, if that content asset has already been defined (created) in the system, or
- We can create new content asset and add it to the plan
NOTE
- That when creating a content asset in the system, it does not necessarily need to be one that is already implemented, we can create content assets that we know we will need but are not yet implemented.
- The list of content assets for a plan, represents what we need in order to execute the plan. It is essentially the starting point of an Editorial Content Plan
- If a content asset is not added to the plan, it cannot be assigned to a touchpoint
From the Content Assets step of the Product plan we can:
- Create a new content asset and add it to the Plan
- Add an existing content asset to Plan
- View the list of content assets assigned to the Plan, and a content asset’s details
- Filter the content assets
- Export the list of content assets and their details in Excel format
Creating a new Content Asset
To create a new content asset press the Add Content Asset button at the top right hand corner of the screen. A pop-up window will appear in which we need to set the key parameters of the content asset:
