The functions are specified when creating touchpoints, a touchpoint being delivered by a function and a team from a selected function.

In order to be able to specify a function later in product planning, we must create them from Setup, Functions tab:

                                                                Accessing Functions

Click +New button to add a new function and specify its name:

                 Create Function form
