Watch the videos below for a demonstration of segmentation functionality (adding a segmentation, adding dimensions and assigning the dimensions on the matrix). The steps are also detailed in a written manner under the videos section.

Accessing segmentations in CEX360 is done through the top-level menu entry.

Accessing Segmentation
Once the segmentation menu is selected we can see the list of available segmentations, search for a segmentation, create a new segmentation, edit a segmentation and delete a segmentation.
To create a new segmentation press the +New button at the top right corner of the segmentation list. A Create segmentation popup will be displayed, where we have to fill in the name for the new segmentation.
Name - Is the name by which this segmentation will be referred and recognised. We should include in the name information that would help us differentiate; generally, this may include the name of the brand or indication or therapeutic area for which this segmentation is relevant and could also include information related to the dimensions: i.e. AmoxicillinInfection to designate a segmentation applicable to Amoxicillin Infection indication to differentiate from AmoxicillinEndo which would be a segmentation for the endocarditis prophylaxis indication.
When referring to a particular segment in a plan we will use the SegmentationName:SegmentName convention, i.e. AmoxicillinInfection:A, AmoxicillinEndo:B

Create segmentation form
A new screen with 3 Tabs will appear, and we have to fill in the information in each of the tabs in their order from left to right: General / Setup > Dimension Analysis > Segments Definitions

Segmentation tabs
Above all the tabs there is some segmentation information available, which can be seen from any of the 3 tabs: segmentation’s name, segmentation’s current version, Created at date (when the current version has been created) and Last data refresh date (when the current segmentation version has been regenerated or refreshed). For more details about segmentation versioning, please see Managing Segmentation Versions chapter.

Segmetation details
The name of the segmentation can be edited by clicking the edit button. Make sure to click the checkmark to save the new name or the x button to keep the previous name.
