Profiling is the action of collecting structured data about clients or accounts on predefined attributes. In CEX360 it is the action of introducing such data in the system.

A Client Profile can mean:

To avoid confusion we will call the latter a Profile Data Point, or Profile Value

NOTE

Customers may change their characteristics over time - they gain or lose weight, increase their potential, change their preferences - that is why Profile Data Points are related to time and we may have multiple Profile Data Points for the same customer at different points in time. Generally the latest value (data point) should be considered in segmentation and planning decisions.

Practice

In CEX360 we can both upload new Profiling Data Points or download them for customers and accounts.
