We use Communication Objectives in Product Planning where we can add existing communication objectives (already created from Setup) or we can create new ones. (Learn about strategic drivers in the Definition of Key Concepts chapter)
In order to create Communication Objectives from Setup, we must firstly create Products, Product Indications and/or Diseases from Products & Diseases tab (more about this in Managing Products & Diseases chapter).
To add Communication Objectives, access Setup, click Communication Objectives tab, then click the +New button.

Accessing Communication Objectives

When creating a new Communication Objective we need to specify:
After adding a communication objective, we can add Messages and Supporting Arguments to the created CO. Messages represent the actual content (the actual wording/form) transmitted to customers which may be different from segment to segment. A message represents an implementation of a communication objective. A message can contain multiple supporting arguments.
To create messages, click Add Message button and specify the name and description:

Create Message form
Like messages the supporting arguments represent the actual content that is being transmitted, but they bring a higher level of detail than a message. Supporting Arguments reinforce the message and multiple supporting arguments can be assigned to the same massage. Similarly to Messages, Supporting Arguments can be differentiated between segments.
To add supporting arguments to an existing message, click on the message, then click Add Supporting Argument and complete the name and description:
