We use Strategic Drivers in Product Planning where we can add existing strategic drivers (already created from Setup) or we can create new ones. (Learn about strategic drivers in the Definition of Key Concepts chapter)

In order to create Strategic Drivers from Setup, we must firstly create Products, Product Indications and/or Diseases from Products & Diseases tab (more about this in Managing Products & Diseases chapter).

To add Strategic Drivers, access Setup, click Strategic Drivers tab, then click the +New button.

When creating a new Strategic Driver we need to specify the:

• Name of the new item
• Provide a description
• Assign the item to one or more products or diseases

Once added in Setup, the Strategic Drivers can be added to the Product Plans which have as Scopes the products assigned to the strategic driver.
